Beatrice Eileen Stouffer
Beatrice Eileen Stouffer, 87, of Glenmont, died unexpectedly Monday morning, Feb. 11, 2013 in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville. Beatrice was born March 14, 1925 in Bartlett and was the daughter of the late Erman H. and Lucy Melba (Steele) McKain. She was a 1943 graduate of Loudonville High School and a Mansfield General School of Nursing graduate. She lived in Loudonville for many years before moving to Glenmont in 1996. She was a LPN at Kettering Hospital for 12 years, the Eastern Star Home for two years, and worked 20 years at the Mt. Vernon Developmental Center, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Jelloway United Methodist Church and had attended St. John United Church of Christ in Glenmont. She was a member of the Millersburg Chapter Order of Eastern Star, and the former Iris Chapter Order of Eastern Star in Loudonville where she was a past worthy matron. In her free time she loved to quilt.She is survived by two sons: John (Linda) Stouffer of Loudonville, and Jan (Nancy) Stouffer of rural Glenmont; her companion of many years, Karl Beaver of Glenmont, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Richard Dick Stouffer in 1983; her daughter, Connie Jo Klepatzki in 2011 and her brother, L. Kirby McKain. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville. Burial followed in Jelloway Cemetery.
